ONEDRIVE

Using OneDrive as your fileserver solution will provide extra layers of transparency and security for your attachments. It is essential that you open up a separate OneDrive account to be used solely for Jobman, this will ensure that you keep other sensitive business files/records both secure and not visible for other company staff to view when Jobman file access is shared.

Jobman can integrate with your OneDrive account as the fileserver application with the following benefits.

  • Access all of your Lead and Job files locally where ever you have the OneDrive application installed. This is especially beneficial for larger files like drawing program files that you need to access real-time anywhere.
  • Add, email and move files through Jobman that do not have OneDrive connectivity.

Jobman will create two folders in your OneDrive account that will both have a folder in them called ‘Template to Copy’. This is where a file folder structure can be established that will be copied and renamed each time a new Lead or Job is created. This same folder can be accessed and managed through Jobman where we suggest that a user is created for Jobman so that other personal information is not shared or accessed illegally. This Jobman Files folder can then be shared via One Drive with staff etc. who have access.

NOTE: Prior to connecting to your OneDrive account, make sure that you are logged in to the account that you wish to connect to online.

If you have purchased this module for Jobman, go to the Control Panel in the Admin section and you will see the box below. Follow the connection process and Jobman will add a new folder into your OneDrive account which will have a Leads and Jobs folder in it. In each of these there will be a folder called ‘Template to Copy’. Edit and add your file folder structure as required. This will be duplicated for each new Lead or Job that is saved. To add this functionality to existing Leads and Jobs simply edit and save and the new folder will appear.

Tip: for OneDrive we recommend keeping your file structure to 3-5 folders with no sub-folders.
