OVERHEAD & PROFIT PERCENTAGES

The Overhead and Profit Percentage feature allows the Quote Sell Price to be calculated by adding preset Overhead and Markup margins to the Buy Price. The percentage values are preset in the configuration but can be manually adjusted after loading an item.

Setup and default percentages

1. Select Admin
2. Select Config
3. Look for QUOTE_ITEM_…..  entries 

• Activate Overhead and Profit Percentages by setting the QUOTE_ITEM_SHOW_OVERHEAD_PROFIT to Y
• Set the default percentage values for QUOTE_ITEM_OVERHEAD_PERCENTAGE and QUOTE_ITEM_PROFIT_PERCENTAGE

Feature switched off

The sell price is either the Availability Chart item sell price, or the Product buy price. No calculations are performed on these values. 

Feature switched on

The sell price is calculated from the buy prices of the Availability Chart or Product items. The config values for Overhead and Markup Percentages are used when loading an item. They can be manually changed once loaded (described in more detail below).
