ALERTS

The alerts screen is accessed from the options menu by selecting the button as shown below. Alerts can be created from the tablet interface which also allows a photo to be taken automatically attach to the notification or alert message. A great tool to capture information on site and report back to the office or production. This can now happen directly from the source of where the issue is raised.

This screen shows all relevant alerts in the system for the user. This screen can be filtered by Job Type, Jobs Status and Assigned toThis screen can also be sorted by Project Name, Alert Type, Alert Status, date entered and due date. 

Job Alerts 

The Job specific menu is only active when a job number has been entered as shown (the search icon can also be used). 

This job alerts screen shows all Alerts specific to the job number entered in the previous step. This can be filtered by Job Type, Jobs Status and Assigned toThis screen can also be filtered by Project Name, Alert Type, Alert Status, date entered and due date.

The search functionality  is also available in both ‘Alerts’ and ‘Job Alert’ screens. 
 

Creating a New Alert 

  1. Select the  button. 
  2. Click on the ‘Upload a file’ button to add a photo.
  3. Select the camera icon on your tablet, take the photo and click OK.  This process can be repeated with up to 4 photos per alert. NB: it may take a few seconds for the photos to load.
  4. Add details such as a brief description of the issue. Complete other fields such as Reported by, Date reported, Alert Status and Due date to add additional information to the alert.
  5. Enter the Job number (or use the search icon). You will not be able to save or proceed with the alert if a job number is not entered. 

Additional details and information can also be added to individual images (shown below). These details will save against the image.

Once the images have been uploaded and all relevant fields and details have been completed, you may notice that the Save button is inactive as shown below. This happens when a Job number has not been entered. This ensures that when an alert is raised it is automatically associated with a job.

 

 

 

Sending an Alert email

 
Click the  icon to send an email about the newly created Alert to other staff members. An email window will pop up which allows the user to type and email the alert to relevant staff members all from within the tablet interface.
 
Click ‘Send Email’ (1). Straight away a message will pop up stating ‘Email sent !’ (2). Click ‘Save’ (3) and the Alert will be saved to the job in the system.

The saved alert will appear at the top of the alert listing screen. This shows that it has been saved to the system.
